DetailsFreeRapid sometimes needs some user attention, especially to enter the CAPTCHA codes. At least in my case (v0.82 on Xp Sp3), FreeRapid fails to get my attention so by the time I manually Alt-Tab to FreeRapid, the CAPTCHA code request has expired. I know FreeRapid has a built-in ‘buzz’ sound, but it really is very soft and hard to notice. There are a number of ways to get user attention: 1. Have a more noticeable alarm sound whenever the program needs user attention. Ideally the user could customise what sound sound (ie specify an MP3 or WAV of their choice) and the volume that it should play. 2. A visual alert like an information “balloon” that comes out of the taskbar icon (similar to the XP warning balloon that your antivirus is out of date or your windows is not genuine) or like the Skype messages that pop up to tell you when a friend has come online. |
