Hi,
The computer may be connected to the internet by more network connections (e.g. WiFi, LAN/DSL, VPN etc.) with different IP addresses, but only one is used as default. It would be nice if a user could specify which one to use and also use multiple those connections (network interfaces) together with multiple proxies. Usually it is done by specifying bind command to certain network address instead of default 0.0.0.0. The interface addresses can be enumerated somehow. PS. My JDK Version is: 1.6.0_03-b05 |
Don't you have some private VPN for testing purposes?
Yes, there is for example OpenVPN (http://www.openvpn.net/) or virtual machines' network interfaces are also VPNs in fact. Or CoLinux project (http://www.colinux.org/) has its own network adapter. And there might be some public VPNs for testing e.g. IPv6 and so on, but I am not sure about that.
i won't be sure if I don't test it on some really working VPN.
I don't want to use local emulation.
Well, the only working VPN I know and use sometimes is in West Bohemian University's network. But you have access there only if you are a student or an employee.
